Kingwood / Greenbelts and parks

Trails, parks and the K-Sticker.

How Kingwood’s greenbelt and resident parks work, who can use them, and the public places anyone can visit.

The Kingwood Service Association

KSA is a nonprofit for the community, civic and social welfare of the Kingwood area, incorporated in Texas on Sept. 13, 1976. Its board is appointed by Kingwood's community associations and contracting parties. kingwood.com

KSA office: 1075 Kingwood Dr, Suite 100, Kingwood TX 77339; phone 281-358-5192; open Mon-Fri 9-5. kingwood.com

KSA owns and maintains five parks: River Grove, Deer Ridge, Creekwood Nature Area, North Park Recreation Area and East End Park. Access is limited to residents of KSA member communities. kingwood.com

Entry requires a numbered K-Sticker on the vehicle. Stickers are picked up in person at the KSA office and cover KSA-owned facilities, including the parks and the boat ramp. Vehicles without one may be towed. The page lists no cost or required documents. kingwood.com

KSA maintains Kingwood's three major entrances and more than 350 acres across five parks. It is funded by dues from member organizations, scaled to their housing and commercial units. Community Impact

The roughly 75-mile greenbelt is maintained mainly by five trails associations and community associations, not by KSA (Community Impact, May 29, 2025). Community Impact

Greenbelt: 75+ miles of trails that use tunnels under major streets. The KSA office hands out the greenbelt map to anyone showing a driver's license with a Kingwood address. kingwood.com

City of Houston: Kingwood has about 100 miles of greenbelts, and five parks are privately funded by residents and run by the all-volunteer KSA. City of Houston

Greenbelt length differs by source: more than 75 miles (kingwood.com; Community Impact, 2025) or about 100 miles (City of Houston). The difference likely reflects what each counts.
